Darden update
My application status is complete and I am visiting Darden for a class visit + interview next week. After the interview, I'm traveling to DC and NYC and hanging out with a bunch of friends that I haven't met in ages. Woooohoooo!!!
I have only one egg in my basket, hope it makes a nice omelette ;-)

Go go go! fight for your omelette!
Am on my last egg, the first two turned bad....
Good luck on the interview! I have total confidence that you'll do great! And considering I don't know you at all that carries a lot of weight ;-)
I am by no means the expert on D.C. When I went there to visit Georgetown it was my first time there so I did a whirlwind tour. I definitely recommend all the monumets:, Lincoln Memorial (my favorite), Washington Monument, WWII memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, all of those are within walking distance.
My favorite tours/museums were the Capital Building tour (you have to line up early,9am or so, to get same day tix at a little kiosk in front of the capital building) the Holocaust Museum (I spent 4 hours there, it's an amazingly well done museum) and of course the Smithsonian, I only went to the air and space Smithsonian and ran briefly thru the Natural Science one. I think I would have rather spent more time in the natural science one. You can spend an entire day in one museum and barely touch the surface!
If you're looking for a nice restaurant/lounge there's a place called Zengo's in Chinatown with a pretty yuppy bar downstairs (with lots of scantily clad chic women :-) and a yummy restuarant upstairs.
So that is my 2 cents! Good luck and let me know how it goes!
